What are the EGYM ID Challenges?

EGYM Wellpass offers various types of company-specific challenges to keep employees motivated and active in a fun and engaging way. These challenges can last from one week to several weeks.

Examples of our challenges include:

  • Walking

  • Running

  • Swimming

  • Cycling

  • Workouts

To help participants stay on track, we provide daily or weekly activity recommendations that make the goals achievable.

💡Each challenge is customized for the company, ensuring it fits the team’s needs and goals.

How can I participate in the EGYM Wellpass Challenges?

Once the challenges are set up, you can find and select them in the “Challenges” section of the app. Choose the challenge you’re interested in and click “Join” to start participating.

Make sure you’ve also connected any third-party app (e.g. Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit) needed for tracking your activity data.

Which third-party apps can I use for activity tracking?

To allow the EGYM Wellpass app to track your progress in the challenge, you need to connect it to a third-party app (see list below).

Make sure the app you choose is permitted by the specific challenge rules.

Supported apps:

  • Apple Health

  • Fitbit

  • Garmin

  • MapMyFitness

  • Strava

  • Suunto

🚫 Unfortunately, Samsung Health is not supported at this time.

How can I connect or disconnect third-party apps with the EGYM Wellpass app?

You can manage the connection between the EGYM Wellpass app and third-party apps in two ways:


1. Via the Challenge section:

  • Open the Challenge in the app

  • Go to Info → Activity Tracking → Fitness Apps

  • Tap “Connect” or “Disconnect” and follow the steps


2. Via your user profile:

  • Tap the Profile icon (top right)

  • Go to “Connected Apps”

  • Tap “Connect” or “Disconnect” next to the app of your choice and follow the instructions


Important for Apple Health users:

In addition to connecting/disconnecting Apple Health in the Wellpass app, you must manually manage the connection within the Apple Health settings on your iPhone.

Make sure all relevant permissions (e.g. steps, workouts, heart rate) are enabled for proper syncing.

Can I participate in the challenges without a wearable device?

That depends on the type of challenge and its specific rules.

For a Swimming Challenge, we recommend using a wearable device, as it’s the most reliable way to track swimming activities.

For Walking, Running, or Cycling, you can use your smartphone along with one of the following supported apps:

  • Apple Health (e.g. Walking Challenge)

  • Fitbit (e.g. Walking or Running Challenge)

  • MapMyFitness (e.g. Walking, Running, or Cycling Challenge)

  • Strava (e.g. Walking, Running, or Cycling Challenge)

  • Suunto (e.g. Walking, Running, or Cycling Challenge)

Can I enter my training data manually?

Normally, data is synced within 24 hours. Please make sure you've checked the following:

  • Your EGYM Wellpass app is connected to an approved third-party app:
    → Open the ChallengeInfoActivity TrackingFitness Apps.

  • You're tracking an activity type that is accepted for the specific challenge.

  • If you're using a wearable device or fitness tracker, ensure that the data is first synced to the device’s companion app (e.g. Fitbit, Garmin Connect) — only then can it be forwarded to EGYM Wellpass.

I’m participating in a Walking Challenge. Do I need to actively track the activity in my wearable or app?

With the third-party devices listed below, you don’t need to manually start or track your walking activity. All you have to do is stay active and wear your device — we automatically receive your walking activity as part of your daily routine data.

The following apps/devices support this:

  • iPhone or Apple Watch

  • Fitbit

  • Garmin

💡 Just make sure your device is properly connected to the EGYM Wellpass app and syncing regularly. This way, your steps and walking activity will count toward your challenge automatically.

I didn’t follow the daily/weekly recommendations. Can I still complete the challenge successfully?

Of course, you can still successfully complete the challenge — our daily and weekly tips are just recommendations.

Simply increase your activity over the next few days and make sure to finish the challenge within the given timeframe.

I’ve already reached the goal before the official end of the challenge. Should I keep training anyway?

You’re welcome to continue following our recommendations even after reaching your goal — it’s a great way to stay active.
Your results will continue to be tracked in the app until the challenge officially ends. Keep going! 💪

Do other participants see my name and progress?

You can choose whether your real name and training progress are visible to other participants.

To make your name and progress visible:

  • Set your profile to public:
    Go to “My Profile” → Settings → Privacy → Set your profile to “Public.”


If you prefer to stay anonymous, you can choose a custom username instead of showing your real name.

Just make sure not to use any names of colleagues.

To show your progress under a chosen username only:

  • Set your profile to private:
    Go to “Profile” → Settings → Privacy → Set your profile to “Private.”
    You’ll then be asked to create a username, which will be shown to other participants.

💡This way, your training progress is still visible in the challenge — but under a name you control.

Can I share discount codes with my family and friends?

Yes, you can share discount codes with family and friends.

Are my data shared with my employer?

We may provide your employer with aggregated, non-personalized information such as the total number of participants in a challenge, overall challenge results, and other statistical data.

However, we do not share any personally identifiable information such as your name or email address.

Should I accept the EGYM Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy before participating in the challenges?

To participate in the challenges and rewards program, you must first accept the EGYM Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. You can read more about this here.

Alternatively, you can still use your EGYM Wellpass membership to its full extent without giving this consent, and continue to train as often as you like at our partner studios. The choice is entirely yours.
